Why does my camera take blurry pictures when I zoom in on the subject?

I have a Casio Exilim and the camera takes blurry pictures all of a sudden. The pictures are really blurry when I zoom in on my subject. The pictures are normal when I don't zoom in at all. Is there something causing this? Better yet, is there anything I can do to fix this?
