Any personal experiences with laparoscopic cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal)?

I am having my gall bladder removed next week. I have never had surgery before, and I am pretty nervous. I am not sure what to expect in terms of how long I will be in the hospital, how painful recovery will be, and what to expect long term. I tried to speak with my surgeon about this, but he was so busy trying to be reuring that I didn't feel like I got any real answers to my questions. If you have any experiences with this type of surgery, I would love to hear them (good or bad!). Thanks in advance.
