Ttc neg result. period not due for few days but i ovulated on day 14! baffled!?

Well i ovulated on day fourteen ( took ov test this mth) and so its now day 27 and even though my period isnt due for few days i thought id test as presumed it would show up by now?!! took predictor early test and first response on day of period tests and both negative! did i test too early? is it not my turn this month? have major signs of pregnancy ( been pg before) and now feel mighty fooled by my body! gonna sulk! hmmpph! advice pls guys...
