Which Biblical story do you find the most disturbing?

I'm with you. The binding of Isaac. But it's also the story I find most fascinating, most worth contemplating. And I find that its value (like the value of most of the world's sacred literature) comes from the questions that it poses, rather than any answers it may superficially seem to give. In the case of the Binding of Isaac, I find the question to be the same intriguing one posed by Plato in Euthyphro.
