Ok, what to do now. Football try-out, just proved the coach wrong?

Just recently me and my bud went to go apply for high school football try-outs, and the school rejected all the applicants because they were an undefeated team and didn't want to change the roster, but after that they lost, ending their winning streak. Should we go and convince them or what? and how!?
